How you know you're in a chick lit novel

I've been reading a lot of chick lit lately and I've noticed there's a common formula:

  4. hah. I'M British and let me tell you - ain't no chick lit romance going on in my life! :P (OK I am ethnically orginically from India - maybe that plays a part?)

    FNC - someone mentioned bollywood? :D

    Dr. Fizzy - if you like chick lit, you might like Bollywood, it's got pretty much everything you have mentioned in your cartoon! I can totally recommend you some if you're interested :)

  5. Sunrise - My med school was actually up to the roof with fancy chick lit romances between all the "Dr. Gunners" and the standard superficial mediocre girl. It made me feel a bit depressed.
    However, my colleagues eventually came up with the term "bollywood-esque" to describe those jolly sweet, yet unstable couples. And that made me feel a bit better, although I actually enjoy the older Bollywood productions. :P
