I'm finding it more and more irritating to get birthday messages from my dentist, eye doctor, car mechanic, etc.
It's not that I don't appreciate that they have an automatic system that's considerate enough to remember my birthday. But it just makes me feel kind of like a loser when I get more birthday wishes from people who want to sell me stuff than I do from people who actually are my friends.
Happy belated birthday!ReplyDelete
BTW most of the medics I used to follow have stopped blogging, I'm happy I've found a new one!!ReplyDelete
Happy birthday! Also, I can feel for you.ReplyDelete
I know how you feel. Most of my birthday wishes come from facebook. Even though these people are technically "friends," many of the names are completely unfamiliar.ReplyDelete
And also such a waste of paper!ReplyDelete
my birthday is also christmas day so sometimes i get birthday greetings after the event due to post . one year i was working away over christmas and had been away for a few weeks on a temporary job so no cards pressies on the actual day.ReplyDelete
I was cool with that until the one solitary email came through with the byline "Happy Birthday, from MAP MY RIDE" I started laughing so hard I cried and my colleugues thought Id lost the plot!
