I'm finding it more and more irritating to get birthday messages from my dentist, eye doctor, car mechanic, etc.
It's not that I don't appreciate that they have an automatic system that's considerate enough to remember my birthday. But it just makes me feel kind of like a loser when I get more birthday wishes from people who want to sell me stuff than I do from people who actually are my friends.
Happy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteBTW most of the medics I used to follow have stopped blogging, I'm happy I've found a new one!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Also, I can feel for you.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. Most of my birthday wishes come from facebook. Even though these people are technically "friends," many of the names are completely unfamiliar.
ReplyDeleteAnd also such a waste of paper!
ReplyDeletemy birthday is also christmas day so sometimes i get birthday greetings after the event due to post . one year i was working away over christmas and had been away for a few weeks on a temporary job so no cards pressies on the actual day.
ReplyDeleteI was cool with that until the one solitary email came through with the byline "Happy Birthday, from MAP MY RIDE" I started laughing so hard I cried and my colleugues thought Id lost the plot!
