Math

From a note I read:

The patient is on a dose of Neurontin 100 mg tid, which is much too high and is causing her to be confused. Therefore, I have decreased the dose to 200 mg bid.


(Note: TID = 3x/day, BID = 2x/day)

    A possible defense-pt was concerned they were taking the medicine too often so it was changed to less often. I have done all kinds of crazy appearing things in order to get patients to take meds they need.
    Or maybe the doc is math challenged.

    That's when I check other notes to make sure the numbers written are not typos.
