My kid told me she didn't want a job like mine (or hubby's). When pressed further, she said she didn't want to only see the same people day-in and day-out. We both work in closed environments and she wants to work with LOTS of people.
My 9y/o thinks being a doctor is gross. She wants to be a book reviewer. Which makes sense, as it involves her 2 favorite things - reading, and complaining :)
Unfortunately, as a doctor, I agree with her.
ReplyDeleteShe seems very sure!
ReplyDeleteChildren are very perceptive. Your child probably sees how content and happy you are as an author and how unhappy you can get as a doctor.
ReplyDeleteWait until they get older. You change your mind a lot.
ReplyDeleteIh daer, what did you say to her...(to all us stupids who admire Physicians?)

From the mouths of babes - they are always so honest. And often they want to forge their own paths.
