You know you're hungry when the renal/ cardiac/ diabetic diet that is sitting on your patient's tray starts to look appetizing. Or when you find yourself wanting to ask, "Are you going to eat that?"
That's the great thing about brain injury patients. Dysphagia ground NEVER looks appealing :)
