Haha! The phony idealism part was hilarious. 10% of my class either just matched in derm or is taking a year off to match in derm. I'm not even counting the # who went into anesthesia, ophtho, or rads. Including those people it has to be 20-30% of my class.
I know this is a student post (referring to gross anatomy), but being a pathologist, I came at med student panel three from a whole different angle. Loved the idea of being the Goddess of Cadavers, in the autopsy suite.
your cartoons are hilarious. By the way, check out this nursing student's blog: http://wilomis.wordpress.com/ He has quite the talent with the pen..not quite as amusing as yours but the cartooning is amazing. He puts his experiences in cartoon form.
It all starts with idealism. And goes downhill from there.

ReplyDeleteGizabeth, you reminded me of this quote:
ReplyDelete"What do you think?"
"Very interesting. She got a real Queen-of-the-Undead thing going--"
"Of the body."
"Great body."
"The dead body."

My friend, a fellow med student, is throwing a graduation party for her law student husband. This just went up on the Facebook event wall.
ReplyDeleteOh you have created a difference between both students.
