The 10 Types of Physican Bloggers

I've been reading a lot of blogs over the years, and I've noticed that physician bloggers tend to fall into roughly 10 different categories:

And yes, I realize they don't speak their blog entries.

  1. What about Dr. Every patient interaction teaches me something profound about humanity. Watch me try to make you cry.

  2. Did you actually draw these on the tablet with a stylus (like a Wacom)? Or did you draw them on paper and scan them in?

BTW, pretty funny breakdown of blogger types. Maybe a post where different doctor bloggers comment on each other's blogs. Keep it going!

  3. Dr. Resident is the best. I imagine that exemplifies the crazy hectic schedule you go through.

I'm probably most like Dr Whiny. :-(

  5. HAHAHAH! Bang on, and hilarious.

I would add to the "no longer a doctor" bubble that they are always making SOOOOO much money at their home internet career. :)

@OMDG--I think we both have the same blog in mind and every time I read one of his posts my eyes just about roll out of my head.

Oh dear, I fear which category I'll fall into. Is there a "terribly mundane existence yet egocentric enough to keep a blog" style?

  7. That's alright ABB, I'll fall somewhere between Dr. Boring and Dr. Whiney.

I'll whine about really boring things.

Some of these are bang on. I can basically hear Happy's voice talking about Obamacare, or Grumpy cracking wise about diabetes (well, okay, I have no idea what either of them sounds like, but you get the picture. Also, why are so many bloggers named after the Seven Dwarves?)

  8. LOL yes I also like Dr. Resident the best because I have seen that so much from not just residents but medical school students too.

  9. The only blogs I actually *read* are the Dr. Funny one and the Dr. Whiny ones. The others get old fast.

BuddyWeb: I've drawn most of the cartoons on a tablet PC with a stylus, but this one was drawn on paper and scanned in.
