Truer words never spoken.
That's great. Can't wait for 2nd year coming up in 2 months. Yays!
Ugh. 2nd year was a miserable bitch. I'm so glad it's over now
Haha, I think this could be applied to my Engineering years too.
Crap. Ten more days.
Hahahah. Love it.
3rd years at my school frequently comforted 2nd years with the adage that everything would be "so much better!" once we shifted from the classroom to wards. I did PBL, so 3rd year was a rude awakening starting with the inflexibile schedule & invariably early mornings. Also, my curriculum took a nose dive from engaging high yield discussions of clinical cases & their basic science correlates to seeing 2 patients a day, discussing the wonders of constipation, and trying to keep my brain awake through low-yield and mostly passive learning. I was usually too tired to read when I got home. I'm amazed by how many of the Step 3 practice questions I correctly answer based on what I learned during my pre-clinical years...and how few come from experiences I had during years 3 & 4.
Oofda. Just finished first year today...
