I saw "quit and folding jeans at the GAP" on Michelle Au's comics. Did you get it from her? Or did you both get that from somewhere? Am I missing a pop culture reference?
It's entirely possible I subconsciously stole it from Michelle, but I swear I have memories of people (including myself) saying that in med school. But med school was a while ago and maybe I just fabricated those memories.
We're not all brainless (call with an 'easy question') bimbos (preference to 'cute and male'). I don't know what the PM&R nurses are like - I'm not one - but it's a shame if they suck as bad as you constantly seem to mention.
I think you're misunderstanding the premise. Nurses must call on certain issues, even "easy" ones. Like, "Your patient can't sleep. What would you like to give him?" That's an easy question, and it's no reflection on the nurse that she called. I think you're being a little oversensitive... why assume I'm insulting nurses?
The nurses I personally work with are excellent. And anyway, I'm not an intern.
Well I'm an ICU nurse and I thought this was hilarious. We have our new interns and while they are nice they are also driving me insane. It makes me cry when I think about how I'm going to have to deal with this every July. Keep doing what you do Fizzy, love reading your work.

ReplyDeleteThis is AWESOME. And I will pretty much tell any resident what to do if I think I can get away with it.
