Thanks to Jess for the inspiration!

  1. This would be funny to me if it didn't precisely mirror some recent experiences with doctors (including Grumpy's "viral" comment).

  2. Bloody brilliant!! Especially 'viral' by Doc Grumpy - maybe you should make a new edited version and add his in, because that is ALL GPs say here if they're not sure! :P

    1. Yeah, that's not going to happen. Sometimes I wonder if people here realize I have a job... ;)

    2. LOL I definitely know you do! Otherwise you would totally have stylised each of the characters with their own, unique hairstyle... oh wait ;)

  3. As a newbie doctor, love these phrases. When said in confidence they answer a lot of questions.

The old 'observe over the next few days and then we'll think of something else if this isn't working' has been used in various forms for a few - mostly the hypochondriacs with the psychosomatic stuff though.

When in GP as a student the answer was Viral for anything not worth sending someone to hospital for.

    1. I'm pretty sure if I said that, the patient would think I was calling him an idiot.

  8. I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Still's Disease a number of year's ago. It took them awhile to figure t out. I kept getting referrals to different docs and finally I asked for a referral to Dr. Kervorkian. A day later they called with the official diagnosis. Don't know if it was a coincidence or not.
