I had to put back word verification for posting. I was literally having to go through about 50 spam comments per day and it just seemed to be getting worse.
Can you use Askimet on blogger? I have a blog on WordPress and with Askimet, there is literally no spam. It catches all spam. In fact, I scan my spam folder just in case something ended up there that is not spam. I have my comments set to first time commenter must have my approval and after that, no approval is necessary. I figured if a first time commenter whose comment is reasonable will usually comment reasonably. So far in the four years that I have been blogging, it has worked and I have not had to deal with spam. If I had to deal with all the spam that comes through my blog, I would probably shut it down.
Anyway, I don't know if Askimet is available for blogspot but if it is, it would allow you to not have to use word verification at all. I've never used blogspot so I am not sure if you could use Askimet.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, thanks for putting up with it while you did.
ReplyDeleteI wish my blog was popular enough to get 50 spam messages per day.
