Toddler: "Doggy!"
Husband: "Right, that's a doggy."
Toddler: "Mama."
Husband: "Right, that's the mama."
Toddler: "Door."
Husband: "Right, that's the door."
Toddler: "What that?"
She was pointing to something that looked like this:

Husband: "That's a phone. That's what they used to look like."
A couple of years ago, my young godson was reading a book and had to ask his mother what a "phone booth" was. He couldn't grasp the concept.
