The Devil Wears Scrubs

I did it! I wrote that book about my intern year!

It's fiction. But it kind of isn't. You know? In any case, if you enjoy reading this blog, I feel certain you'll really enjoy reading it. Here's the blurb:

Newly minted doctor Jane McGill is in hell.

Not literally, of course. But between her drug addict patients, sleepless nights on call, and battling wits with the sadistic yet charming Sexy Surgeon, Jane can’t imagine an afterlife much worse than her first month of medical internship at County Hospital.

And then there’s the devil herself: Jane’s senior resident Dr. Alyssa Morgan. When Alyssa becomes absolutely hell-bent on making her new interns pay tenfold for the deadly sin of incompetence, Jane starts to worry that she may not make it through the year with her soul or her sanity still intact.

Please buy it!

It's available for the Kindle. For now, I've kept it at the low, low price of only $2.99, although that is subject to increase in the future.

Also, you can get it in paperback!

It's short, it's fun, it's deliciously evil, and if you buy it, you'll make me really happy. What other incentive do you need?? :P

If you're not sure, you can read an excerpt.

  5. If I could make a woman happy by spending only $2.99, I would question my own sanity more than I already do if I didn't jump on it (the offer, not the woman). Thank you "Freida"!

  7. I read the excerpt and I really liked it. I'm really curious though-- is this based on your experiences with "Jessica"??

  9. Even though I have Amazon Prime and could've borrowed it through the lending library, I went ahead and purchased the Kindle version. I've been a long-time lurker of your blog, so based off of that and the excerpt, I'm pretty sure this is something I'll enjoy rereading multiple times.

Looking forward to the realistic insight to intern year as a hopeful pre-med.

  13. I purchased your book on my Kindle app for iPad, and read it it one sitting. Too hilarious! Great job! I am amped up for the future (pre-med student). All I could think - when I wasn't laughing that is - was: "If she doesn't deck this [several poor choice words], I'll do it."

On a side note: the insane roommate mentioned in your book, reminds me of my own roommate from a couple of years back. Right down to the passive aggressive notes. The day she accused me of stealing her toilet paper and eating her butter - not exaggerating (she waited until I was released from the hospital - great timing right?), I lost it. Needless to say, we sought different paths, and my blood pressure has been wonderful since.

  16. I want to buy this book so badly. Just waiting for the Indian Rupee to appreciate just a little bit against the US dollar. Even though I think that might not happen anytime soon. :'( :(

When do you plan to increase the price of the Kindle version of the book? Please do let me know so that I don't end up missing the current discount as well.

    Thank You.
