For the love of god, enough with the Christmas music!
One of my favorite radio stations turns into an all Christmas music station in late November. Late November! That's an entire month of nonstop Christmas songs!
I mean, there are a couple of Christmas songs I like, but I can't imagine most adults want to listen to a month of nonstop Christmas music.
You should just become deaf like I did. No more annoying Christmas music, as well as no elevator muzak!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for Dr. Grumpy's comment on this.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I read somewhere that (duh) it's all about the money. Apparently it's cheaper for the stations to play Christmas music constantly because of copyright laws or something, with so many being public, or not having to pay the artist as much... something along those lines. So no matter how frustrated the listeners get, it won't be changing any time soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's even worse when you have to stand in a store and work with that infernal Christmas music playing for hours and hours each day for a whole month...
ReplyDeleteThis adult does! In fact, I would be perfectly content if we started Christmas music on November 1st, but I usually try to hold off at least until Thanksgiving week.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Christmas to be over just to get regular music back. My car came with a TAPE DECK (it's a 2004. WHAT?) and no CD or MP3 player. We were too cheap to install a new stereo, so I'm forced to do Christmas music or silence this time of year. So annoying.
ReplyDeleteYep. We have one radio station here that starts Christmas music on November 1st, and another that starts it the week of Thanksgiving. After working retail I hate Christmas music with a passion.
