It baffles me how many one-piece outfits there are out there for female adults and children. Whenever somebody buys my daughters clothing, it seems like about half the time it's some one-piece outfit (Shorts attached to a shirt).
I can only assume that the people who designed these outfits are some super humans who don't have to use the toilet. In any case, I just cut the shorts bottom off to make them into a dress.
The worst is one piece bathing suits. Because I'm sure everybody loves having to take every stitch of your child's clothing off so that they can pee. Which, if there anything like my daughter, they have to do on an hourly basis.
Another benefit to being a female....
Fizzy, you don't have to remove the whole bathing suit. You just show the child how to move the crotch to the side when they pee. It's actually even easier than a bikini.
ReplyDeleteReally? I never knew about that. But it seems like it would be incredibly difficult if the one-piece is not just a bathing suit but also shorts.
DeleteTry it! How do you think swim team girls pee? They have to go fast so that they can make it back to the pool as fast as possible. There's no time to un-don and re-don a wet bathing suit.
DeleteShorts-onepieces? Now that's something I've never seen. Probably for good reason.
you've never seen a romper? Grown women have been wearing them for the past few years. Its apparently "fashion". For those, yes, you have to take the whole thing off (I asked a friend who was wearing one and said she liked them). That's why I never would buy/wear something like that.
DeleteFunny you should bring this up. I was just out shopping with my home-for-the-month college daughter yesterday when she insisted on purchasing this thing she called a 'romper,' ie., a one piece thingie with micro shorts attached to a top. (what are we, infants??) I objected on the grounds that they are impossible to go to the bathroom in, without it ending up touching some yukky public bathroom floor and she acted like I was being an old fud. Ick. I lost the argument; she bought this thing out of spite. Having worn one once by mistake, I can honestly say that the only thing worse was trying to go to the bathroom while wearing evening dress and a Spanx bodyshaper.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is exactly what I'm talking about!
DeleteAmen
ReplyDeleteApparently all the celebrities are wearing jumpsuits these days, so maybe that's where the trend is coming from. Personally, I am not a fan.
ReplyDeleteWow, as a dude, I feel sorry for the ladies. This explains why it takes my better half three times as long to use a restroom than me!
ReplyDeleteMy (adult) grandson and I read the title and thought at first you were referring to the Anime series "One Piece", onepieceofficial.com. We are fans of Anime and were relieved to see that you were actually talking about women's clothing.
