Master of None
Silicon Valley
Brooklyn 99
Peep Show
Inside Amy Schumer
Nathan for You
Now we yet again need a 30 minute sitcom to fill in the gap. We want something that's funny and that is no longer than 30 minutes.
Any recommendations?
Here are some other examples of sitcoms that we have both liked:
Seinfeld
The Simpsons
King of the hill
The office
Friends
30 rock
Futurama
Sitcoms we have tried watching and not liked:
Bobs Burgers
Community
Arrested development
The series should be available on Netflix streaming or Hulu. Also, don't bother recommending the Big Bang theory, how I Met your mother, or modern family. Those are all shows that I like that my husband won't watch.

Better of Ted on Netflix is only 2 seasons but it was pretty funny
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Parks And Recreation? I obsessively watch it!
ReplyDeleteYes we watched them all.
DeleteUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt? It's incredibly silly, but it has it's funny moments.
ReplyDeleteYES. This one.
DeleteI came here to recommend this.
DeleteI as well
DeleteWow, I never heard of that show...
DeleteYou didn't mention Amazon, but IF you get Prime, I recommend Mozart in the Jungle. On Netflix, we liked Lillehammer.
ReplyDeleteI second Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn 99
ReplyDeleteFreaks and Geeks
Last man standing (netflix)
ReplyDeleteScrubs!!!
ReplyDeleteEach episode is only 30 mins and the show is completed and all on Hulu!!!! Definatly recommend it's hilarious!
That's another one I've mostly watched already...
DeleteNurse Jackie is on Netflix and I highly recommend it. Grace and Frankie is also on Netflix and it's pretty funny; however, there is only one season currently.
ReplyDeleteIf you have access to Amazon, Catastrophe is funny.
Have you watched "Frasier"?
ReplyDeleteCan never get enough!!
Life in pieces... New show from this year, so I am not sure it is on Netflix though...
ReplyDeleteBroad City...my husband and I have watched all of these.
ReplyDeleteLast Man Standing is one of my favorites. Tim Allen is still funny after all these years.
ReplyDeleteThe Middle
ReplyDeleteFor older stuff, I still watch Frasier repeats, though mainly the first seven seasons (that ought to be enough!).
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite recent shows is Party Down which (I think) is on US Netflix or another streaming service. It's about a bunch of wannabee actors/writers working at a catering company ("Party Down") in LA.
Finally, if animation is acceptable, there's always Archer.
We bare bears :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Sweden. It has Amy Poehler's brother in it, with some Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Neve Campbell, Paul Simon, Jack Black and the regulars. It tells the story of how the main character falls in love and moves to Sweden with his girlfriend, which Amy Poehler's brother did do. It only got 2 seasons but it was really funny. It was on NBC and on Hulu.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Jack Black, The Brink was on HBO and it was funny. It was renewed for a second season, then...nothing. Apparently they aren't making it.
Drunk(en) History
ReplyDeletescrubs!
ReplyDeleteHappy Endings. Only 3 seasons, and it's on Hulu.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend: Frasier, New Girl, and Nurse Jackie
ReplyDeleteUnbreakable kimmy Schmidt on Netflix for sure! Also try the goldbergs, master of none, Silicon Valley (HBO). Drunk history. Burning love is a fantastic satire of he bachelor

ReplyDeleteArcher. It makes up in hilarity what it lacks in erudite language.
