But we're having some issues. Kelley, my coauthor, and I can't seem to agree on what we like. So I recruited some other opinions, and there's a lot of disagreement there too. So I want to get a larger sample size. Please tell me which cover you like best... or suggest an alternative:
NUMBER ONE:
NUMBER TWO:
NUMBER THREE:
NUMBER FOUR:
I am horrible at making decisions, so please help me. I'll refrain from telling you my favorites. Note that I will actually buy the high resolution version of which image I choose.
3 then 4, 2, 1...but I like the original
ReplyDelete2 then 4, 3, 1
ReplyDelete4,3,2,1
ReplyDelete4 than 3. Now I need to go actually read the book ... it's just sitting there in my Kindle App waiting to be read.
ReplyDelete3, 2, 4, and 1.
ReplyDeleteI like them all except #1. And #2's blue font clashes with the purple image. It stands out, but not in a good way. I still like it, though.
3 then 2,1,4
ReplyDeleteUgh, sorry to say, but i don't like any of them. They all look amateurish and not any better than the original.
ReplyDeleteI know it can feel good to make a decision and move forward, but I think it'd be worth waiting until you have something you love rather than the least bad of the lot.
I never said I didn't love any of them....
DeleteI won't argue over whether they look amateur or not, but I don't have the high-resolution version of any of them yet and they all have shutter stock written over them. I intend to do a lot of polishing to make them look better, although the overall design will probably be about the same.
4, 3, 1, 2
ReplyDeleteI like #4 the best and I don't like #1 at all.
ReplyDelete#2 and #3 are close, with a slight preference to #2 though I agree with someone above that the purple and blue don't really work well together.
Hummmmm, you obviously don't like the "Carrer" of OBGYN, so why even have a cover with illurations?

Delete3,4,2,1
ReplyDelete3,4,2,1
ReplyDeleteI like #2 and #4 (but I'd like #4 better in not-pink -- blue maybe?).
ReplyDelete3, 4, 2, 1 :)
ReplyDelete4, the original, 3, 2, 1.
ReplyDelete3 Then 4, 2, 1
ReplyDeleteI think 3 is great because the grid pattern makes it look like a city, but then the actual images are of embryos, the population of baby city.
Loved this book by the way! :)
4, then 2, 3. But I'd pick a different font for the title.
ReplyDeleteDon't like 1 at all.
4, 2, 3, 1
ReplyDelete4 3 1 2
ReplyDelete4,3,2,1
ReplyDeleteI don't really care for any of them & prefer the original!
ReplyDeleteI like 4 the best, but somehow 1 grabs my attention.
ReplyDelete3 is best. Hate 2.
ReplyDeleteI like the original way better than any of the others. If I was forced to pick one I'd go with 4 then 3 but not in Pink. Pink for girls is so over done its bordering on nauseating for me.
ReplyDeleteSo after all that, I decided to just revise the original. I actually loved 2 the best, but a lot of people seemed to hate it vehemently. I was trying to make 3 work, but I couldn't get it the way I wanted, and after wasting an hour, I decided to just make the original look the way I wanted in the first place.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with all of them is the font. That's what makes them look "ok, but..."
ReplyDeleteI would experiment with different and more professional looking fonts, because the designs are generally good (I don't like the first one only).
Choosing a good font makes a ton of difference.
4, 3, then 2 - don't like 1
ReplyDeleteOh shoot, late to the game.
4
ReplyDelete4
ReplyDeleteI love #4 - sorry to hear you chose a different direction!
ReplyDelete3 & 4 are good. 1 is okay. 2 is awful.
ReplyDeleteI don't like number 1, and numbers 3 and 4 are my favorites. I think the best cover of all is the one you already have. It caught my eye in the Kindle store, which is how I became a reader of your books and blog.
ReplyDeleteI really like both 3 & 4 :)
